Agla Eir Vilhjálmsdóttir joins BBA//Fjeldco

Agla Eir Vilhjálmsdóttir has joined BBA//Fjeldco. Prior to joining the firm, Agla was the General Counsel for the Iceland Chamber of Commerce. In her practice she has focused on corporate law, with a particular emphasis on corporate governance and sustainability. Agla led the publication of the Icelandic Corporate Governance Guidelines and was a member of the consultative committee for such guidelines in Europe and the Nordics. Additionally, she was the Secretary General of the Nordic Arbitration Centre, where she now serves as a board member.

Agla holds a law degree from Reykjavik University and recently graduated with an LL.M. from Columbia Law School. In her studies at Columbia, Agla focused on corporate law, sustainability and ESG disclosure. She was also a board member of the Columbia Arbitration Association.
