Last Friday, BBA//Fjeldco welcomed Orator, the law student association from the University of Iceland, and Lögrétta, the law student association from Reykjavik University, to our offices in Katrínartún. At BBA//Fjeldco, we believe in supporting tomorrow's legal talent, strengthening Iceland‘s legal community, and building strong connections with the universities in Iceland. Each year, our firm hosts networking events for law students. These receptions provide students with valuable insights into what it’s like to work in legal practice. Our lawyers share their experiences, discuss recent cases, and talk about important legal developments shaping the industry.
Beyond these events, many of our lawyers teach at the universities in Iceland. Gerður Guðmundsdóttir and Thelma Christel Kristjánsdóttir teach at the University of Iceland, while Páll Jóhannesson, Hafliði Kristján Lárusson, Anna Björg Guðjónsdóttir, Friðbert Þór Ólafsson, and Þorbjörg Ásta Leifsdóttir teach at Reykjavik University. By sharing their knowledge in classrooms, they help train the next generation of legal experts.
